Yayasan Transformasi Komunitas Indonesia (aka Indonesia Aid) is an Indonesian registered NGO. We are committed to the empowerment and transformation of impoverished communities through community development initiatives. This is done on a village by village by community basis. In partnership with project partners, community leadership and individuals within each particular community, an assessment is made of needs, local assets, resources and current programs in place. Unique projects and programs are developed in response to the assessments.
Indonesia Aid has four major project initiatives. Community transformation is typically initiated through one of four major initiatives: Project Legacy, Project Water, Project Freedom and Project Relief. These project initiatives were launched in response to the awareness of needs relating specifically to poverty - access to education and clean water, source of the region's largest human trafficking problem, increasing prison populations and at-risk communities within the disaster prone region known as the "Ring of Fire".
